The issue described below has been resolved.

In online multiplayer, players connected via the internet can now participate in event Tera Raid Battles that previously appeared only in either Pokémon Scarlet or Pokémon Violet, even when playing the opposite version of the game.
• You will be able to catch the normally version-exclusive Pokémon featured in this event after defeating them in battle, regardless of which version of the game you are playing.
• With this fix, even if you have already caught the Roaring Moon or Iron Valiant featured in this event, you will be able to catch these Pokémon with the Mightiest Mark again.

To participate in this updated Tera Raid Battle event, please download the latest Poké Portal News by selecting Poké Portal from the X menu, then Mystery Gift, then Check Poké Portal News.

Catch Version-Exclusive Paradox Pokémon in Tera Raid Battles!
Roaring Moon and Iron Valiant are appearing in black crystal Tera Raid Battles! You can try catching Roaring Moon in the Pokémon Scarlet game and Iron Valiant in the Pokémon Violet game from Friday, October 3, 2025, at 00:00 UTC to Sunday, October 12, 2025, at 23:59 UTC.

The Roaring Moon appearing during this event has Dragon as its Tera Type, and the Iron Valiant appearing during this event has Fairy as its Tera Type. Be prepared—these Pokémon are formidable foes, and they’ve got the Mightiest Mark to prove it! Work together with your friends to topple these powerful Tera Pokémon!

During this event, other species of version-exclusive Paradox Pokémon will appear in 5-star Tera Raid Battles. These Paradox Pokémon will have various Tera Types, so prepare wisely before challenging them!

The special Roaring Moon and Iron Valiant featured in this event can each be caught only once per save data. If you caught these Pokémon previously during a Tera Raid Battle event, you cannot catch them again. You can still participate in Tera Raid Battles against these Pokémon to obtain other rewards if you’ve already caught them.

The Roaring Moon and Iron Valiant appearing during this event may be featured in future events or become obtainable through other methods.

What Is a Tera Raid Battle?

In a Tera Raid Battle, you’ll work together with three other Trainers to defeat a powerful Tera Pokémon before time runs out. The kinds of Pokémon encountered during Tera Raid Battle events will vary. Pokémon encountered in Tera Raid Battles may have a rare Tera Type.

Information About Tera Raid Battle Events

• To participate in Tera Raid Battle events, please download the latest Poké Portal News by selecting Poké Portal from the X menu, then Mystery Gift, then Check Poké Portal News.
• After completing certain postgame events, you’ll be able to find black Tera Raid crystals. However, players who haven’t completed these events may still participate in these Tera Raid Battles by joining other Trainers in multiplayer.
• You’ll be able to find 5-star Tera Raid Battles after completing Pokémon Scarlet or Pokémon Violet’s main story. If you haven’t completed the main story, you may still participate in these Tera Raid Battles by joining other Trainers in multiplayer.
• A Nintendo Switch Online membership (sold separately) and Nintendo Account are required to participate in Tera Raid Battles with other Trainers online. Membership auto-renews after initial term at the then-current price unless canceled. Not available in all countries. Internet access required for online features. Terms apply.
